→ 2 Keys to the vehicle are required to activate the remote starter feature in the vehicle during installation. Must be original OEM factory keys or OEM equivalents. Cannot use "cloned" style keys.
→ HOW TO DETERMINE IF YOUR VEHICLE IS EQUIPPED WITH A FACTORY ALARM:
(Note that just because your remote may have a PANIC button on it, does not mean it has a factory alarm)
Roll down the driver's door window: Close all vehicle's doors and lock the doors using the factory remote: Wait at least 1 minute then reach in through the open window and manually open the driver's door from the inside (some vehicle's may require pressing the power unlock switch first). If the vehicle is equipped with a factory alarm system the vehicle's horn will start pulsing almost immediately after the driver's door is opened.
→ Optional: 2 Direct T-Tap type connections (included) from pre-wired parking lights relay (also included) to provide the optional "parking lights on while running" feature.
→ Optional: 1 chassis ground connection (provided) with 1 wire-to-wire connection required to provide the included optional remote starter ON/OFF VALET switch. Valet switch will require a 1/4" hole if mounting it is desired.
